Aloo Sandwich


  1. The   Filling
  2. 4 Potato Boiled   (medium size)
  3. 1 Onion
  4. 4 cloves Garlic
  5. 1/2 cup Peas Frozen –
  6. Coriander leaves
  7. Curry leaves
  8. to taste Salt
  9. to taste Chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  11. 2 tbsps Oil
  12. The Sandwich
  13. 4 tbsps Butter
  14. 1 Wheat Bread Loaf


  1. For the Filling : Boil the potatoes till they are soft enough to mash
  2. Drain peel and mash them when they are still warm Set aside
  3. In a frying pan add the oil garlic and onions salt chilli powder and turmeric sauté them till the onions turn golden brown
  4. Now add the frozen peas and cook gently for a couple of minutes
  5. Add the mashed up potatoes and mix well Check the seasoning and adjust accordingly
  6. Finally add the coriander and curry leaves and switch off
  7. For the sandwich :  In a skillet stove top melt some butter over medium heat and place one slice of bread in the skillet Add the potato stuffing and place another slice of bread on top and press down
  8. Cook for 1-2 minutes  until one side becomes golden and crispy Then gently flip the sandwich and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown
  9. Note : For extra taste use salted butter or sprinkle some salt on your skillet before you grill your sandwich
