Beef and Broccoli

This is a tasty healthy dish that can be easily made for dinner.

  1. Beef
  2. 1/4 lb Top Blade Steak
  3. 1 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  4. 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
  5. 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  6. 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
  7. 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  8. Broccoli
  9. 2 cup Broccoli
  10. 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  11. 1/4 tsp Salt
  12. 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  1. Mix soy sauce with crushed red pepper ginger cumin and garlic in a large bowl
  2. Add steak to bowl and set aside to marinade
  3. Toss broccoli in vegetable oil with salt and pepper Add a splash of water and place on stove on high heat
  4. Cook broccoli with lid on pot while regularly stirring Do not allow broccoli to burn If all the water evaporates add a bit more Do this until the broccoli starts getting soft Do not overcook
  5. Add steak and marinade to broccoli Continue to cook in the same fashion Keep the lid on the pan stir regularly and add water is no more is left
  6. Cook until broccoli is fully done Verify the steak is also done Thin top blade steak should not take long to cook and should be done by the time the broccoli is done
