Beef Samosa

  1. 250 g minced meat
  2. 1 spring onion – medium
  3. Oil for frying
  4. 100 g self raising flour
  5. 1 tbsp chilie powder
  6. 1 tbsp salt
  7. 1 tbsp pounded garlic
  8. 500 g mashed potatoes
  9. 1 /2 cup of corriander
  1. For the dough mix 1/2 tsp of salt and flour Add 1 tbsp of oil and water gradually and knead for 5 minutes to form a ball
  2. Let it rest and chop the onions Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions until soft
  3. Add the garlic salt and chilie powder and cook for four minutes Then add the boiled minced meat and fry for 5 more minutes
  4. In a separate bowl mix the mashed potatoes onions corriander and fried minced meat Mix evenly
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal sizes
  6. Roll each dough using a rolling pin into a 5 inch circle Using little water brush the edges and fold it into half
  7. Align the 2 straight edges to overlap forming a cone Squeeze the edges together to form a tight seal
  8. Then place 1 tbsp of the filling inside each cone leaving the top edge with a little water to make another tight seal
  9. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling for the rest of the remaining dough
  10. Heat the oil in a frying pan in medium heat using a deep pan
  11. Fry the samosa in the pan until golden brown each side
  12. Drain the oil using paper towel and serve with tea for breakfast
