Braised Beef Ribs

Weekends for me are all about enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends. I don t have the time to spend all day in the kitchen cooking. This recipe is super easy, delicious and quick to prep. Throw it in the oven on low and get out and enjoy the winter wonderland with your family while it cooks.

  1. 1 rack beef ribs
  2. 1 (16 oz) can of tomatoes
  3. 1 can tomato paste
  4. 1 tbsp Kirkland brand sweet mesquite seasoning
  5. 1 tbsp Italian spice
  6. 1 tsp dry mustard
  7. 1 tsp cayanne pepper
  8. 1 tbsp minced garlic
  9. 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  10. Pinch salt
  11. Pinch pepper
  12. 5 carrots chopped
  13. 2 stalks celery chopped
  14. 1 large onion chopped
  15. 1 tbsp olive oil
  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees
  2. Toss carrots celery and onion in the bottom of a roasting pan
  3. Brush olive oil on both sides of the beef ribs and place them on top of the vegetables in the roasting pan
  4. Lightly season beef ribs on both sides with salt and pepper
  5. Using a blender blend the can of tomatoes tomato paste rest of the spices and garlic
  6. Pour mixture over top of the meat
  7. Place cover over top of the roasting pan and roast in the oven for 5-6 hours
  8. Remove the ribs from oven and let sit for 5 minutes
  9. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice
