Bread gulab jamun

An easy to make sweet


  1. 8 Bread slices
  2. 2 tablespoons milk powder
  3. oil
  4. 1/2 – 3/4 cup Sugar
  5. 1/2 – 3/4 cup water
  6. 4 pods Cardamom
  7. 1/4 cup Milk
  8. 2 – 3 drops Rose water (optional) –


  1. Cut and remove the edges of the bread
  2. Soak the bread slices in milk and squeeze out the extra milk
  3. Put the bread slices in a blender along with the milk powder and blend for a minute
  4. Knead slowly just to mix everything do not apply pressure
  5. Divide and make balls out of the mixture and fry it till brown in low fire
  6. For the syrup boil water along with sugar on low fire till sugar dissolves
  7. Let the syrup boil in medium fire and add cardamom and rosewater till the syrup is sticky Switch off flame once its done
  8. Add the fried jamuns in the syrup and let it sit for sometime before serving
