Cheesy Garlic Bread

Homemade garlic bread is so much better than store bought. Make it a cheesy garlic bread and you ve got a delicious side that just might outshine that pasta dish you re serving it with! Dijon mustard may seem like an odd addition, but I promise you the tang of this condiment adds a special element that brightens up all the other flavors, and will leave you wondering where this side has been all your life! 😉


  1. 1 large loaf Italian bread
  2. 1 stick salted butter – softened
  3. 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  4. 2 cloves fresh garlic – minced
  5. 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or 1/4tsp each basil oregano marjoram
  6. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  7. 1/4 tsp onion powder
  8. 2 cup shredded 3 cheese Italian blend (such as Kraft)
  9. 1 extra virgin olive oil for drizzle


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Slice bread in half horizontally to make a top and bottom half Lay out on foil lined baking sheet cut sides up
  3. In a small bowl combine butter minced garlic Italian seasoning garlic powder and onion powder Stir until well blended
  4. Place half of butter mixture on each half of the bread Spread out into an even layer on each Top each buttered bread half with one cup of shredded cheese Drizzle with olive oil
  5. Place in oven Bake uncovered 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden
