Crockpot Chi Kut Teh Soup . ( Asian )

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb Chicken
  2. 2 envelope Bak Kut Teh Soup Spice ( Dried Spice Section )
  3. 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  4. 3 tbsp Thick soy sauce
  5. 5 medium Dried tofu
  6. 1 cup Button mushroom
  7. 1 pinch Salt ( as desired )
  8. 2 large garlic ( whole bulbs ) ( DO NOT CUT )
  9. 1/2 tsp Ground white pepper
  10. 1 liter Water

Method

  1. Cut and clean the chicken
  2. Cut mushrooms dried tofu and set aside
  3. Boil 1 liter water in crockpot and let it come to a boil
  4. Add Chicken and 2 sachets of Bah Kut Teh Soup in the boiling water
  5. Cover the crockpot and let it simmer for 30 minutes
  6. After 30 minutes Add 2 tablespoons of Oyster Sauce and 3 tablespoons of Thick Soy Sauce
  7. Cover the pot again and let it simmer for another 15 minutes
  8. After 15 minutes add dried tofu button mushroom ground white pepper and salt
  9. Cover the crockpot for the last time and let it simmer for another 10 minutes
  10. DONE !!! Serve hot with rice add birds chilli with a touch of light soy sauce if you need a spicy kick ! ENJOY ! 🙂
