Fried Chicken Gizzards a Southern Favorite

These are everywhere in Florida. Grew up eating these. This recipe is a bit different from my other posts


  1. 1-1/2 pound chicken gizzards
  2. 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  3. 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  4. 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  5. as needed cooking oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan / skillet
  2. Change Clean the gizzards especially this part in picture it peels off very easy
  3. Change All your gizzards should be looking like these
  4. Change Salt and Pepper the gizzards
  5. Change Coat the gizzards lightly with flour
  6. Change Fry in batches and turn as needed
  7. Change Move to paper towels and repeat till done
  8. Serve immediately you can make a gravy with the leftover flour and make smothered gizzards in gravy
  9. Change Also serve with any sauce like the chili garlic sauce
