Mike's Thai Beef Dumpling Soup

I d definitely recommend you purchase your dumplings and other ingredients from an Asian market in your area. You can easily find them all there.


  1. ● Broth
  2. 2 box (32 oz) Beef Broth low sodium
  3. 2 tbsp Thai Kitchen Fish Sauce
  4. 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  5. 1 4 quot Piece Fresh Ginger
  6. 1 4 quot Piece Diakon Radish
  7. 1/2 cup Thai Basil loosely packed – reserves for serving
  8. 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro loosely packed – reserves for serving
  9. 1/4 cup Scallions fine chop – reserves for serving
  10. 2 cup Mushrooms rough chop – i use oyster mushrooms
  11. 6 large Fresh Garlic smashed whole
  12. 3 Thai Red Peppers fresh or dried – if fresh reserve some for serving
  13. 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 Spice
  14. 1/4 tsp White Pepper
  15. 1 tbs Lemon Grass or 1/2 tbs frozen
  16. ● Dumplings
  17. 1 Bag Frozen Beef amp Mushroom Dumplings or pork – 25 to 30 count
  18. ● Side Options
  19. Siracha Or Siracha Chile Sauce
  20. Fresh Thai Basil
  21. Fresh Cilantro
  22. Fresh Chives
  23. Thai Red Chilies
  24. Fresh Lime Wedges
  25. Fresh Sprouts
  26. Fresh Thai Red Chilies
  27. Fresh Mint


  1. Change Heres about all youll need
  2. Change Add everything in the Broth section and bring to a good simmer Let broth simmer for about an hour
  3. After an hours simmer – pull Thai chilies dikon radish and ginger pieces Fine chop 2 tablespoons each ginger and diakon radish and place back in pot Discard chilies
  4. Change Bring broth to a heavy boil Add your frozen dumplings Bring back to a boil and boil dumplings for about 10 minutes Youll know theyre done when they float to the top
  5. Change ● Plate immediately and serve with fresh Thai Basil fresh Cilantro additional chopped scallions fresh sprouts soy sauce lime wedges chopped Thai Red Chilies and fish sauce to the side ● Also fill your soup spoon with Siracha Sauce or Siracha Garlic Chile Sauce Your guests can add any ingredient to their bowl as they wish Enjoy!
