P-lo's Carne Guisado 👈 🏼Spanish Beef stew

My grandmother made this and I gave it my twist!.. Good as stew or over rice… Keep your carrots and potatoes a lager cut this way when it s boiling down doesn t turn to mush and add frozen peas I find better hold than can peas the last 5 minutes .. For a robust flavor add tub of Sofrito in frozen Spanish section .. I will make soon and post.. My grandmother added can of tomato sauce as well when I add my tomatoes plus small can of tomato paste when add Sazon packets… Didn t have so didn t use good either way

  1. Olive oil
  2. 1 family pack Beef stew
  3. 4 medium chopped carrots
  4. 4 peeled and chopped big potatoes
  5. 1/2 cup frozen peas
  6. 10 green olives and lil juice add at same time
  7. 4 Beef broth cubes
  8. Handful chopped cilantro
  9. 1/2 chopped green and red pepper
  10. 1 small diced onion
  11. 1 can stewed tomatoes
  12. 2 packets Sazon with coriander and Annatto
  13. Water
  14. 1 cup flour
  15. 2-3 tablespoons vinegar
  1. Change Add olive oil to fully coat bottom of pot to cook stew in put on medium high heat
  2. Change I put flour in ziplock bag then add meat and shake Add each one to pot once heated shaking excess flour off
  3. Change Add diced onions minced garlic and seasons (garlic saltpepper) Cook and stir around meat until all meat has browned add more olive oil if gets to dry
  4. Change Once all browned add can of stewed tomatoes and water until it fully cover meat (just above) Add more seasons and 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar at this time as well
  5. Change Once comes to a boil reduce to a low simmer and cover stirring occasionally for 45 minutes
  6. Change Add chopped carrots potatoes diced peppers cilantrogreen olives stir and add 2-3 packets of Sazon
  7. Change Continue for 15-20 more minutes simmer low covered stirring occasionally Last 5 minutes add peas and give good stir on bottom and make bowels!! Good over rice or as stew
