Simple Banana Apple Bread

A delicious treat. You can use up browning bananas, softer fruit, leftover puree etc that you might have otherwise thrown out.


  1. Fresh
  2. 6 Ripe Bananas
  3. 1/2 cup Apple Sauce
  4. 3 Eggs
  5. 1 cup Butter
  6. Pantry
  7. 3 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  8. 4 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  9. 1 1/2 cup White Sugar
  10. 1 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  11. 3 tsp Baking Soda


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F Grease 3x 8×4 tins
  2. Mash bananas
  3. Mix together wet ingredients with the mashed bananas
  4. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl
  5. Stir in wet ingredients into the dry ingredients Do not over blend
  6. Fill tins evenly and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes Check with a tooth pick starting around the 50 minute mark When the toothpick comes out clean theyre done Let cool
  7. (Freeze) Wrap in Cling wrap then a layer of tinfoil to freeze Lasts up to 6 months in a deep freeze Thaw out overnight in the fridge
  8. ~Homemade Upgrade~ Use my recipe to make the Applesauce yourself
  9. Taste Replace Use leftover fruit baby puree or older soft fruit cooked and mashed instead of applesauce
  10. *Health Hint* Substitute white sugar with more applesauce and a bit more flour
