Smothered round tip sirloin beef steak

  1. seasoning for meat
  2. 2 lb sirloin beef tip steak
  3. 1/2 cup flour
  4. 1 onion powder
  5. 1 seasoning all
  6. 1 garlic powder
  7. 1 black pepper
  8. Gravy
  9. 1 envelope Lipton beefy onion mix
  10. 3 cup of beef broth
  11. 1 envelope pioneer brown gravy mix or any brown gravy mix
  12. 2 cup water (optional)
  1. Defrost Steak in water
  2. After steak has thawed pat dry this helps steak to brown evenly
  3. season both sides of steak with seasoning all onion powdergarlic powderblack pepper
  4. flour steak on both sides
  5. Add 2 or 3 table spoons of shortening to cast iron pan or whatever your favorite pan is I used butter shortening but you can also use vegetable oil
  6. put steak in pan and brown each side for about 3 to 4 mins until meat is nice and brown on both sides
  7. Remove steak from pan
  8. turn fire down to med with remaining oil left in pan add Lipton beefy onion mix and 2 cups of beef broth stir briskly until dissolved
  9. Take remaining broth and mix with pioneer brown gravy mix until dissolved then add to pan
  10. add steak to pan making sure to add all the yummy juices that has dripped from the steak turn fire on low let cook for 45-50 mins or until tender
  11. Change if you need more gravy you can use the 2 cups of water I normally use just 1 cup of water
