Southern pan-fried chicken sandwich

This is one of my favorites; because is easy to maked and light on the taste buds.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 chicken breast pound out evenly
  2. 2 cups buttermilk marinating
  3. 2 beaten eggs amp 1/4 cup buttermilk whisk together
  4. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  5. 2 tsp white pepper
  6. 1 tsp thyme
  7. 1 tsp oregano
  8. 1 tsp sweet paperika
  9. 11/2 tsp garlic salt
  10. 1 tsp celery salt
  11. 1 tsp black pepper
  12. 1 tsp basil
  13. 1 tsp dried mustard
  14. 11/2 tsp ginger
  15. sprinkle w/ accent or cajun seasoning
  16. 1 lettuce leaf
  17. 1 slice tomato
  18. 1 Tbsp Hellmanns real mayonnaise
  19. 1 english muffin or bun of choice
  20. 2 cups peanut oil or vegetable oil

Method

  1. Pound out chicken evenly about a 1/4 inch thickness
  2. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 2 to 4 hrs Discard leftover marinate
  3. Beat together eggs and 1/4 cup of buttermilk set aside
  4. Sift together flour and seasonings into a large bowl set aside
  5. Heat oil in 12 skillet over medium-high heat
  6. Take chicken dip it into the egg mixture then coat it in the flour-seasoning mixture Set aside for about 2 to 3 minutes to allow mixture to adhere to the chicken
  7. Carefully lay chicken into the heated oil and fry until golden brown about 4 minutes per side
  8. Remove set aside on paper towel
  9. Toast english muffin or bun of choice
  10. Spread both halves with mayonnaise the lay chicken on bottom half first then top with lettuce leaf and tomato secure the top half of muffin or bun Enjoy! Yall
