Sponge  cake

This recipe uses cake improver.


  1. 3 eggs
  2. 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  3. 6 tbsp sugar
  4. 1/4 tsp salt
  5. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  6. 1 tsp cake improver gel
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract optional


  1. In a large bowl mix together the flour salt and sugar
  2. Add in the eggs and cake improver
  3. Beat them using your electric hand mixer until the mixture forms soft peaks It wont take long
  4. Slowly drizzle in the oil and vanilla while beating the mixture in the lowest speed Beat just until the oil is incorporated
  5. Pour the mixture directly into a 7 round springform pan
  6. Tap the pan a few times to get rid of large air bubbles
  7. Bake at 350 F for about 25-35 mins You should bake until the top of the cake springs back
  8. When the cake is done take it out of the oven and let it cool upside down
  9. Loose the sides and bottom of the cake using a knife or offset spatula
  10. And its done! Decorate as you wish! Dont forget to brush the cake with sugar syrup before decorating
