Tami's Beef short ribs

Great flavor, one if my favorites :positive

  1. 3 lb or more of beef short ribs
  2. 1 olive oil to drizzle over short ribs and enough to brown short ribs
  3. 1 salt amp pepper to taste
  4. 1/2 cup flour to lightly coat short ribs
  5. 1 medium onion sliced
  6. 1 celery stalk
  7. 2 carrots sliced
  8. 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  9. 2 lb small red potatoes whole
  10. 2 bay leaf
  11. 1 liter good red wine and or beef stock
  1. Heat 2 tbls of olive oil drizzle olive oil over each short rib season short ribs with salt amp pepper Coat with flour shaking off excess Brown on all sides a few short ribs at a time til completely browned
  2. Add vegtables to pan stirring and season with salt amp pepper Add short ribs and pour entire bottle of red wine or half wine half beef stock Add bay leaf Cover and cook at least 2~3 hours Stirring occasionally reason as needed
