Tami's Simple Chicken tortilla soup


  1. Roasted chicken homemade or store bought
  2. 64 oz Homemade or store bought chicken broth
  3. 2 ears corn cut into bite size pieces
  4. 1 chayote squash sliced
  5. 2 green plantains cut into bite size pieces
  6. 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  7. 2 Tbsp chili powder
  8. 2 Tbsp cumin
  9. 2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  10. to taste Salt and pepper
  11. 1 bunch cilantro
  12. 1 avocado
  13. 1 lime


  1. Cook chicken if homemade season with salt and pepper and season with spices in recipe as well
  2. In a large stock pot and broth vegetables spices and a few sprigs of cilantro bring to boil reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender
  3. Remove chicken from the bone into bite size pieces add in soup
  4. Place in bowl add fresh cilantro avocado and squeeze of lime Enjoy!!
