Vickys Bread Sauce for Roast Dinners, GF DF EF SF NF

This is our usual sauce we serve with roast chicken or pork at Christmas


  1. 650 ml full fat coconut milk
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 50 grams Stork margarine – the gold foil wrapped block
  4. 6 whole black peppercorns
  5. 6 cloves (the spice)
  6. 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  7. 1 bay leaf
  8. 100 grams gluten-free breadcrumbs
  9. pinch ground nutmeg
  10. salt amp pepper


  1. Put the milk margarine onion cloves peppercorns thyme and bay leaf in a small saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes
  2. Strain but reserve the liquid and get rid of the strained solids
  3. Put the liquid back in the pan and stir in the breadcrumbs simmering for 5 minutes
  4. Season to taste and serve with roast turkey chicken pork or beef
